Environmental & Experiential Design

Because walls shouldn’t be boring—and signs shouldn’t make you squint. This is where my design work steps out into the real world: wayfinding systems, murals, and environmental graphics that help people navigate, connect, and sometimes do a double take. If it lives in a space and makes you feel something, you’ll probably find it here.

WHAT I DO

I bring brands into the physical world through immersive environments and experiences. Whether designing a pop-up, an art installation, or a full-scale wayfinding system, I think spatially to create moments that are memorable, emotional, and on-brand.

SOUNDING BOARDS

Sounding Boards is a community arts nonprofit I co-founded to transform public space into platforms for healing, expression, and equity through large-scale, site-specific art and environmental design. Founded during the pandemic, the project has since been sunsetted but lives on in public spaces and online—through an ongoing digital archive and active social presence—to continue supporting artist commissions. Our creative strategy extended far beyond branding; we brought the mission to life through public art and physical installations that turned plywood storefront coverings into canvases for community expression. I led the execution of over 40 murals across Chicago, coordinated multi-city art installations, and developed a rotating outdoor gallery in San Diego that featured four local artists and launched with a neighborhood celebration. In addition to directing our environmental work, I managed our website and social media accounts to amplify artist stories, drive donations, and build long-term visibility. To date, we’ve raised over $60,000 and employed more than 50 artists of all ages and backgrounds—centered on uplifting BIPOC voices and making art accessible to all.

For the 2021 Chicago Architecture Biennial, I co-led a large-scale activation in North Lawndale that repurposed murals from the original 2020 installations and reimagined a vacant lot into an outdoor community garden and performance space. That project culminated in a widely attended block party with live music and artist talks, reinforcing our goal to foster connection through accessible, artist-first spaces. My role as creative director spanned concept development, spatial storytelling, and full project management— building environments that were both impactful and deeply rooted in place, purpose, and people.

EASTLAKE STUDIO

At Eastlake Studio, I played a key role in shaping branded environments that blended strategy, storytelling, and spatial design. Collaborating closely with architects, designers, clients and vendors alike, I led the creative direction and execution of signage and wayfinding systems, large-scale custom wallcoverings, and immersive brand activations. My work extended into the design and management of experiential touchpoints; developing art installations, environmental graphics, and place-based visual narratives that elevated both culture and functionality within the built space. From concept to install, I oversaw multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines, vendor relationships, and cross-functional communication to ensure cohesive, high-impact outcomes. Whether activating a workplace lobby or transforming an entire office floor, I consistently translated brand identity into physical form, creating environments that were not only visually engaging but also deeply aligned with the values and energy of the organizations they represented.
